SMW provides you the means how to write a high-impact research report

REVISING THE MANUSCRIPT

Following the submission of your manuscript to the Journal of your choice is followed by a lag period from few weeks to several months (sometimes). Today, however, the best Journals complete the evaluation of their received manuscripts with increasing rapidity, and sometimes you will get the response surprisingly soon.

If they do not like your manuscript they will tell it to you straightforward. rejected is rejected, and the reasons can be multiple. The question is not always the inferior quality of the study (or the report), but equally often the selection of the Journal was not correct. In other terms, the subject of your study does not simple fir well with the scope of that Journal. In that case, the actions are simple; to resubmit the manuscript as such into another (more carefully selected) Journal.

More often than rejecting outright, the Editor will give you hope to get your work accepted, if you are willing and capable of satisfactorily responding to the critic and suggestions of the reviewers, and modify your manuscript accordingly. This is an important step for you. You need to decide, whether to make this effort or just try another Journal. While making the decision, several aspects need to be carefully considered. If the Journal is good, however, the comments of the reviewers are useful and constructive in most cases, and making an attempt to respond to those and revise the manuscript accordingly, is certainly a worthwhile effort to make.

Once decided to take the challenge, three important steps need to be completed:

How you manage to cope with these items will be essential for the future fate of your manuscript. If you are inexperienced and insecure, how to respond to the reviewers's criticism, it might be an excellent idea to let experts of SMW Consultants to do that for you.

Being our weekly routine, revision of the manuscripts and responding to the Editor in appropriate manner are among the core expert ice of SMW Consultants. All for your benefit. Our default position is that all your work is important enough to become published and no effort to achieve this goal is too tedious or overwhelming to us.

We start by careful reading of the detailed comments, suggestions and criticism of all reviewers enclosed by the Editor, including the Editor's own feedback and suggestions as well. Determined from these messages, we plan a strategy, how to optimally respond to achieve the best possible end result. In case that some of the critics seems inappropriate or even unjustified, we need to keep the delicate balance of not compromising the manuscript on one hand, and satisfying the referee on the other hand. For an inexperienced author, this could be a major obstacle.

With the experience of over 840 personal publications and over 500 other scientific communications, we can claim that SMW Consultants have the touch, how to cope with these issues. Irrespective, how complicated they might seem to be at the first glance.

If you decide to ask SMW Consultants to do the writing of the manuscript for you, we are willing to take care of these additional steps as well, unless you are lucky enough to get your manuscript accepted without any revisions and amendments at all. In the present-day competitive publishing atmosphere, however, this seldom happens, and even the best writing experts cannot give any guarantee of that for you, unfortunately.
